Alexander Gschiel & Lisa Gusenbauer | Wasserski<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Einmal Gold, dreimal Silber, zweimal Bronze \u2013 der \u00d6ster- reichische Wasserski und Wakeboardverband (\u00d6WWV) avancierte bei der U21-EM in Lacanau\/Frankreich erneut zum Top-Team, gewann die Mannschaftswertung. Zu den gefeierten Heldinnen und Helden z\u00e4hlten auch zwei gro\u00dfe Talente aus dem \u201eStart Up Sport\u201c-Kader. Alexander Gschiel erreichte gleich zwei- mal das Podest: Dank Bronze im Springen und Platz f\u00fcnf im Trick-Finale wurde der Linzer auch noch mit Kombinations- Silber belohnt. Klubkollegin Lisa Gusenbauer hatte zuvor mit 0,5 Bojen am 11,25m-Seil Silber im Slalom gewonnen. Aufgrund weiterer Final-Pl\u00e4t- zen der rot-wei\u00df-roten Starter\/ innen war der \u00d6WWV-Crew mit Teamchef Franz Ober- leitner Mannschafts-Gold nicht mehr zu nehmen. Seine Top-Form stellte Alexander Gschiel wenig sp\u00e4ter auch beim Bewerb in Santa Rosa Beach (USA) unter Beweis, wo er die Traummarke von 10.000 Punkten im Trickbe- werb geknackt und mit 10.040 Z\u00e4hlern einen neuen \u00f6sterreichischen Wasserski-Rekord aufgestellt hatte. Damit verbesserte der Triple-Medaillengewinner der U21-EM die Marke des Linzers Dominic Kuhn (9960 Punkte) um 80 Z\u00e4hler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U-21 European Championships 2024 \u2013 Lacanau<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back at the U-21 European Championships 2024 in Lacanau, I still get goosebumps. It was an incredible event in every way \u2013 from the intense competition to the beautiful setting, and most of all, the emotions that came with it. I\u2019m incredibly proud to share that I finished in 2nd place<\/strong>, earning the title of Vice European Champion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This achievement means the world to me. It\u2019s not just about one weekend or one performance \u2013 it\u2019s about years of dedication, countless early mornings, tough training sessions, setbacks, comebacks, and moments where I had to trust the process even when results weren\u2019t immediate. Being able to stand on the podium at such a prestigious competition feels like a huge reward for all of that hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition in Lacanau was fierce. The best U-21 skiers from across Europe came together, and every single round demanded focus, technical precision, and mental strength. I went into it knowing I had trained well, but I also knew that on the day, anything could happen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

From qualifications to the finals, I stayed mentally locked in and pushed myself to perform at my very best.<\/p>\n

One of the most unforgettable moments was standing on the dock before my final round \u2013 heart racing, fully aware of what was on the line. But instead of letting the pressure get to me, I focused on enjoying it. That mindset helped me ski freely and give everything I had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it was all over and I realized I had secured\u00a02nd place<\/strong>, I could hardly believe it. Hearing my name called for the silver medal was a surreal moment, one I\u2019ll carry with me forever.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also beyond grateful to everyone who helped me along the way. None of this would be possible without the people around me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

My family, who have supported me from day one. My coaches, who always believe in me and push me to be better. My friends and teammates, who celebrate the highs and lift me through the lows. Thank you \u2013 your support means the world to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just the result, this competition reminded me why I love this sport so much. The challenge, the adrenaline, the community, the travel, and the feeling of pushing your limits \u2013 it\u2019s all part of what keeps me going. And achieving this podium finish has only strengthened my motivation to keep progressing, learning, and aiming higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lacanau 2024 will forever be one of those milestone moments in my career. It\u2019s not the end goal, but it\u2019s a powerful reminder that I\u2019m on the right path. I\u2019m excited to keep working hard and see what\u2019s next in my waterski journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s to many more unforgettable moments on and off the water \u2013 and to never losing the joy that started it all back when I first put on skis as a little kid. Lacanau 2024 will always hold a special place in my heart.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
